Zhineng Qigong

What is Qigong?
Qigong is a generic name combining "Qi", (pronounced chee) the vital energy that sustains all living things, and "Gong", an exercise or challenge that requires study or daily effort. Qigong is based upon the Chinese philosophy that a powerful energy system (qi) exists within the body and flows through known energy pathways referred to as meridians. Vital life energy is conveyed to every cell, muscle, organ and bodily system via these meridians. If the qi patterns are disrupted by emotional distress, environmental exposures, physical stresses, or any number of factors, a person becomes susceptible to disease. Health is restored when this disruption of energy or qi is rebalanced.

What is Zhineng Qigong?
Grandmaster Pang He Ming, M.D., is one of the pioneer grandmasters who opened the Qigong secrets to the general public. Dr. Pang, trained in both Eastern and Western medicine studied the various forms of Qigong throughout China before creating what he found to be the most easily learned and beneficial system of Qigong. Dr. Pang, founder of the Huaxia Zhineng Qigong Center, explored the human-body science - the new frontier of medicine. Over the years, the Center “treated” with daily Qigong practice more than 100,00 patients/students with 180 different diseases - at an overall success rate of 95 percent.
Zhineng Qigong consists of visualizations combined with a series of gentle movements which can be easily learned by anyone who chooses to improve and sustain their health and well-being. Zhineng Qigong has been shown to reduce stress, relieve chronic pain, strengthen the body, stimulate the immune system, increase blood circulation and cardiovascular fitness, improve mental clarity and relieve insomnia. In practicing Zhineng Qigong we constantly exchange nature’s qi with our own qi via our pores and pressure points along our energetic system. Through our practice we amplify this natural exchange by directing our thoughts outward to encompass nature’s healing qi from the universe, then inward, back inside the cells deep within our bodies. This results in a gradual opening of the heart and mind creating inner joy while gently balancing the entire body, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Why practice Zhineng Qigong?
By opening our heart and mind, we are dissolving the blockages so natural qi can flow vigorously throughout the body bringing life energy to every cell. Without blockages, we become balanced, healthy, joyous, and full of energy and vitality, not just free from illness or disease! Most people who learn Zhineng Qigong continue to practice it, for one simple reason, it works.

Body and Mind Method
(Level II)
This workshop is not intended for individuals whose physical energy is compromised by a serious health condition. In this case, Level I (Lift Qi Up, Pour Qi Down Method) is recommended to build life energy and increase well-being.
Body Mind Method is a series of postures and exercises in which the mind and physical body work together, united. It works at the Internal stage of Hunyuan Qi, penetrating deeply into the layers of the body (skin, muscles, tendons, meridians, skeleton). While easy to learn, it is more physically challenging than Level I practice. Body Mind Method strengthens and beautifies the entire body stretching tendons and joints inducing Qi flow throughout the body. If you are looking for a physical exercise routine that is gentle on the body, will strengthen and improve your health, and can deepen your Qigong practice, this is the workshop for you. Students receive the Body Mind Method CD (50 Minutes), all tools necessary for continuing your practice.
